I have been living a very unhealthful lifestyle, and I have been letting food control my life. I want this to change so badly. I am ready to live intentionally and make choices that will last a lifetime, and not just a few weeks.
I have been inspired by many blogs, including www.katheats.com and www.rebel-dietician.com.
They eat real food, good food. And I thought to myself...why can't I? This answer is...I CAN. (woah, breakthrough thought right there haha)
I am starting with positive thoughts. Obviously, negative thoughts are not working. Self-sabotaging is not working. So here are few "rules to live by" and "rebeling against dieting" from rebel-dietician.com.
- I am thankful for my body because it allows me to run, hike, walk, and it carries me to all the places I want to go.
- I want to be a role model for other girls and women by accepting my body. What good is having this body if I don’t have any fun in it?
- My body is a trusted and treasured home for me to enjoy and use fully rather than as an aesthetic object.
- I will notice beauty in everyone around me.
- I will respect people regardless of their body size.
- I will look at myself as a whole person rather than choosing to focus on specific body parts.
- I will wear clothes that are comfortable and make me feel good about my body. I will appreciate all that my body can do.
Let's be rebels against dieting!
- I REBEL because life is too short to worry about food
- I REBEL because I want to fuel my body with foods that I enjoy
- I REBEL because I want to be a role model and teach others that food is not the enemy
- I REBEL because I am exhausted with dieting only to end up back where I started.
Please join me in incorporating these thoughts into YOUR life as well. Together we can overcome a cycle and addiction to food.
